What does ER Properties mean?

Evolving Reality

To me, ER Properties is a way of life, my daily motivation is to be better than I was yesterday. Bryce and I crossed paths when I was in charge of lighting and design for one of his projects. During this project, our skills complemented each other very well. Bryce ended up inviting me to become a partner in the company. I left my 16 year career as a lighting designer to join him in 2018 to rebrand ER Properties. ER Properties has made my  dream come true as a building professional.

Partnering with Bryce taught me a lot about the construction side of architecture in addition to my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning. I believe that our skill sets accentuate our strengths which makes planning, designing, and building much easier and smooth. We both are very creative which also makes building specifically and tailored to our clients that much more fun and unique.

At ER Properties, we know that building a custom home or remodeling your current home is one of the biggest investments you make. So, our goal is to make it something you will never forget, for the best reasons. We are here for you throughout the entire process. In the beginning, we want to know who you are, what you like to do, your values, etc. We also want to know how you envision your dream home. From here, this is where we get to be creative and combine the two to build you your dream home that exceeds your expectations.

Once we have finished a project, our proudest moment is hearing the satisfaction from our clients. For the last 25 years, ER Properties has thrived off of word of mouth referrals. The biggest compliment we can receive from a client is a referral. Knowing that we have made our client happy and satisfied to the point to tell their friends and family to build with us, means the world.

What do you do?

At ER Properties, I am the VP of Design and Operations. Bryce and I meet with clients regularly to go over planning and design, job site progress, and presenting proposals, contracts and billing. If a client decides to hire an architect, I work with them to plan the design aspects. Client relationships are very, very important to me and to the company as a whole. We always make sure that we are respectfully listening and understanding our client to make sure we are Evolving their vision into a Reality. In the office, I work with my bookkeeper and McKenna, our Accounting Assistant and Marketing Manager, to go over our financials, stay up to date with our current projects and make our team more and more efficient.

What are you most proud of?

What makes me so proud about who I am at ER Properties, is I get to enrich people’s lives. We get to use our knowledge of construction, architecture and design to Evolve a home into our client’s Reality. We know how much of an investment it is to build or remodel your home, to turn it into the home of your dreams. We want your house to feel like a home, like it is built specifically for you, because it is! There is nothing more satisfying than hearing from our clients how happy and pleased they are with the final project in which we exceeded their expectations. The only thing more satisfying is getting a referral from a client and knowing that they trust us with their family and friends.

What is the biggest struggle that you’ve overcome?

Working at ER Properties, I have had to overcome a lot of struggles with learning about construction. Over the last two years, I have had to  learn the insides and outsides to the construction business and the building process. Working with such an intelligent and experienced person such as Bryce, has made it a dream to make such a transition from specifically lighting design to remodeling or building a custom home. With the ever changing world of technology, there is always something new to learn and we are always ready for more knowledge and experience.

What do you do for fun?

For fun, I love to travel! I love to learn about and experience different cultures!  I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and friends. I really like to go camping, boating, and ride dirt bikes. When I am home, I like to express my creativity with crafting and scrapbooking and cooking for my kids.

Outlook on life

Life can be very busy but I find it very important to focus on gratitude and the glass half full in every situation.. When we are grateful, it changes our attitude, brightens outlook and broadens our perspective. Whatever I am doing, I always want to better myself and learn the best approach to the action I am taking. I am always looking to learn more and never stop growing.

By living this way, I want to lead by example. I want my kids to practice gratitude and be grateful for the life they live as well. I live by the Golden Rule, “Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.”
